Overview

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) AWS SMGS is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. AWS Solutions Architects are trusted advisors to our customers, helping them solve some of their largest business challenges by designing and advising on scalable, flexible and resilient solutions in the world.

Working closely with internal teams at AWS, you’ll identify how our customers push the boundaries and how we can improve our services to obsess over our customers. You’ll be a thought leader who creates and presents content to help all of our customers scale and grow in non-linear ways, using AWS as their building blocks. In this role, you will push technology boundaries and help scale some of the Emerging companies across various Verticals in India. You will have the opportunity to partner with customers early in their cloud journey and help them scale, as well as with customers further along their cloud journey where you can have visible and measurable impact on their growth ambitions.

You will test traditional thinking by pushing the boundaries for your customers and AWS to dream and deliver beyond what they think is possible. Our customers’ needs are moving fast, so you will too. Be part of the team helping our Emergin customers find innovative and transformative ways to reinvent their business.

• Drive technical solutions discussions with customers, diving deep into details to solve complex technical problems and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Scope and own customer engagements with clear objectives and success criteria.
• Work backwards from customer business needs to accelerate adoption of the most appropriate AWS technology.
• Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants, and partner ecosystems).
• Act as a thought leader, educating and sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and running workshops.
• Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform and proactively influence platform evolution.
• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team to ensure customer success in building applications and services on AWS that align with long-term business goals.

A day in the life

Solutions architects work across the SMB segment and in various industries (e.g., FSI, Retail, IT & IT-enabled Services, Media and Entertainment). You’ll collaborate with teams designing cloud-based architectures, challenge customers to think differently, and help build elegant, transformative solutions as a trusted advisor.

As a Senior Solutions Architect you’ll own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You’ll understand the customer’s business needs and provide prescriptive guidance to create business value with technology, collaborating with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end-user or developer communities
• Experience working with Gen AI/ML technologies and services and building solutions for customers
