Senior Software Engineer

Job objective

We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in cloud‑native development and complex software architectures. With at least 5 years in the field, you will contribute to the development of next‑generation supervision, monitoring, and control systems in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern software solutions for mission‑critical applications.
• Lead the development of cloud‑based and on‑premise software architectures.
• Translate system and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Develop robust microservices and containerised applications using DevOps principles.
• Debug, optimise, and maintain both legacy and new codebases.
• Collaborate with testing and support teams to resolve complex system issues.
• Ensure consistent and well‑documented code and architecture.
• Create and deliver technical presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Evaluate tools, frameworks, and best practices for continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Skills and experiences

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline.
• Experience in supervision/monitoring system development.
• Programming languages: Java, C#.
• Frameworks: JPA, Spring Boot.
• Architecture: Microservices, modular and multithreaded application development.
• Web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Stencil, React.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Source control: Git.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications to the cloud.
• Hands‑on with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience in system/software architecture design.
• Networking fundamentals and knowledge of Linux‑based systems.
• Certifications in Agile, cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Azure), or DevOps tools are a plus.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
