Position Overview
Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality by greeting, listening and assisting customers. Exceeding their expectations and demonstrating in depth knowledge of the product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactive management of existing private and trade customers, building long term relationships and generating repeat business
- Generate new business opportunities within the A&D community by outreaching and introducing them to the world of RL Home and identifying their needs.
- Consistently meet showroom, personal sales objectives and KPI’s by delivering an elevated and personalized level of service and communication to all customers in store and via outreach
- Very good understanding of interior spaces, ergonomic and proportions
- Create design presentations & inspiration boards that illustrate RL design concepts
- Select and specify RL decorative items including furniture, lighting, finishes, rugs and accessories.
- Generate quotes and track projects from point of purchase through to delivery and installation
- Maintain and update private clients and trade database, appointments and quotes using company tools
- Attend industry networking events and socialize with our target customers
- Be able to report on ongoing business and pipeline
- Communicate Product and Customer feedback to buyers and managers
- Participate in store activities including but not limited to : Daily maintenance standards front and back of house in line with the Ralph Lauren Brand Image directives, Inventory, Replenishment, Product transfers, New product launches and Seasonal floor changeovers
- Perform opening and closing showroom duties as needed.
- Exhibit pride through a positive demeanor, body language, personal presentation and dress standards in line with the RL expectations
- Always adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- 3-5 years of prior work experience specifically in the luxury Home sector
- Proven successful sales experience with final private customers and trade industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Communicates with confidence (verbal and written) and maintains highest level of professionalism
- Ability to multi-task, work in high pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Has a strong focus on achieving personal sales and KPI goals
- Able to read and understand architectural / construction drawings and sketch / diagram space plans and fixture layouts
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD
- Proficient in English, other languages a plus
