About Us:

Headquartered in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale, CA), Eta Compute Inc. is an innovative start up delivering energy-efficient Edge AI / ML solutions. Our core product, SaaS Aptos Edge MLOps, is a no-code AutoML toolchain for low-power edge devices.

The Role:

We're seeking an outstanding, talented and committed ML Engineer to advance our AutoML platform. You'll be key in expanding its capabilities, onboarding new ML use-cases (vision, time-series, etc.), and improving the product. We value candidates with a start-up and entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and enhancement of our cloud based AutoML system for Edge AI. Cracking hard ML problems on the platforms internal AI engine and supporting services. Integrate new ML use-cases across various domains (vision, timeseries and other). Optimize AI solutions for edge devices using TinyML frameworks. Design and build pipelines combining AI and conventional algorithms for edge applications. Collaborate on data strategies, preprocessing, and model training. Stay updated with Edge AI and AutoML advancements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's (PhD a plus) in STEM (Computer Science or related fields). 4+ years of industry experience in ML / DS or, in case of PhD, stellar academic track experience in AutoML and / or Edge AI is highly relevant for the job experience in Edge AI relevant user cases:

• vision (image, video, reid, tracking), timeseries, audio is desired. NLP or GNN is a plus

Strong Python skills; C / C++ beneficial. Experience with cloud platforms (e.G., AWS) and technologies (e.G., Node.Js, web technologies, and API development) is highly relevant. Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX). Experience working with various ML use-cases and expanding into new data domains. Applied research acumen and an entrepreneurial approach are valued. Understanding of embedded systems concepts or hands-on experience is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and English communication skills.

Location:

Remote. Occasional project meeting travels are required.

Contract type:

Job contract or B2B, with full time-commitment.
