An international engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist in Milan, Italy. Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology required, Master's degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of related geotechnical experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections.
• Experience working in a design environment (some site experience as well is preferred).
• Advanced numerical modelling skills using 2D Plaxis or similar preferred.
• A working knowledge of a range of geotechnical software, including Geo Studio suite (Slope/W, Seep/W) or similar.
• Good knowledge of statutory processes and technical standards, including Eurocodes.
• Significant experience in the civil engineering sector.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing for client meetings and job site visits.

Mansioni

• Preparing and checking engineering designs, technical documents, and calculations, and supervising the production of design documents for issue to the Client.
• Organising and coordinating projects from Site Investigation and design feasibility to detailed design, including site supervision where required.
• Development of project controls and monitoring of progress against programmes.
• Ensuring that designs, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current design Standards, Codes of Practice, and best practice.
• Undertaking a wide range of geotechnical design work, fully compliant with Eurocodes.
• Assisting in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders, including cost estimates.
• Coordinating the work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkers.
• Project administration reporting to Line Management including monitoring programme delivery, resources, and budgets.
• Development and technical assurance of design, including client’s presentations and reports.
• Maximising business development opportunities where possible.
