A renewable energy company in Torino is seeking a qualified accountant to manage full accounting activities for Italian entities. The role includes overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, strong knowledge of OIC/IFRS, and familiarity with renewable development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full scope of accounting activities for Italian entities, including service companies and project-specific SPVs.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries).
• Ensure monthly and quarterly reporting and full tax compliance, including WHT, VAT, and F24 submissions.
• Work with local advisors to ensure compliance with Italian tax and financial regulations.
• Support the transition to the group ERP system (Priority).
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and manage intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure timely financial close and reporting, and support external reporting and audit requirements.
• Oversee quarterly and annual VAT filings and coordinate with tax consultants for property tax (IMU) and other statutory obligations.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a multi-company, multi-currency group environment with significant intercompany transactions.
• Strong understanding of accounting, OIC / IFRS and double entry.
• Extensive experience working in an international environment, including nominal and subledger review, postings, and currency management.
• Experience working with Italian tax and local requirements.
• Experience working in the renewable development industry is desirable but not essential.
