Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to manage procurement activities for direct commodities and aftermarket parts. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost optimization while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct commodities and aftermarket components.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, logistics) to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage supplier development initiatives and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement within the automotive industry, focusing on direct commodities and aftermarket.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of global supply markets and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
  • Fluent in English; Italian or other European languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel occasionally to HQ and supplier sites.
