A global food equipment provider in Pordenone is seeking a Project Leader for R&D to develop strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years in R&D, and skills in project management and product innovation. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Italian is a plus. This role involves working with diverse teams and maintaining customer relationships to drive product development and quality.

Responsibilities

• To strengthen our organization we are looking for a Project Leader who will contribute to scout and develop new Strategic Initiatives and opportunities to expand Electrolux Professional’s business in the professional food equipment industry.
• Work in a dedicated R&D environment with a focus on the development of new strategic initiatives such as: Chains initiatives, Open Innovation, Architecture Products, innovative modules, etc.
• Clear understanding of Chains / K-accounts and Food Professionals needs
• Maintain good technical relationships with assigned customers
• Provide prompt feedback to the customer through feasibility analysis (specification, time, cost, etc.)
• Strong support for the definition of the technical specification
• Be part of various R&D teams during the product development process
• Deliver project milestones and check points
• Create relevant project documentation and keep stakeholders informed of updates
• Proactive approach to maintaining excellent quality and reliability of the product
• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in developing dedicated special solutions
• Foster strong teamwork and organizational skills
• Interact with all functions in a global organization from shop floor to management
• Lead change and execute business improvement projects in a large-scale global matrix organization
• Be proactive with a results-oriented, sustainable business mindset and share knowledge with colleagues

Education & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years in R&D / product development
• Strong mindset on product innovation
• Strong knowledge of Professional Products Food (and sub-components)
• Experience with Project Management
• Experience using 3D modelling software (preferably CATIA V5)
• Familiarity with developing tools such as FMEA, QFD, DFM, etc.
• Computer literacy
• Familiarity with stainless steel metal parts and plastic technology (injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming components)
• Fluent English; Italian considered a plus
