Title : QC Manager
Base : Zeeco's Lissone office, Milan area.
Responsibilities
- QA / Compliance Management
- Maintain management system certifications to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 3834-2
- Develop new procedures and processes; identify deficiencies and revise to introduce system improvements
- Carry out internal audits to ensure compliance with standards and policies
- Host customer and third-party audits to demonstrate compliance
- Train and mentor staff in certification requirements
- Review and authorise Pre-Qualification documentation
- Collaborate with global quality managers to support global PRIDE initiative objectives
- Prepare, host and minute Quarterly Management Reviews; maintain action plan close-outs
- Manage all NCR and lessons learned processes; host regular NCR reviews and ensure timely close-out
- Address customer complaints; act as focal point for ZEL QC activities
- Prepare, review and approve ITP and Quality Plans; approve other quality and manufacturing documentation
- Organise/coordinate global QC inspectors including contract inspectors for Zeeco locations in Europe/ME
- Manage a team of permanent QC Engineers, contractors, and resident inspectors
- Prepare and develop inspection procedures; prioritise inspection activities
- Set acceptance criteria and adjudicate on inspection criteria disputes
- Raising and progressing NCRs and analyze trends
- Welding: act as RWC, prepare weld books, WPS, and qualifications; deputise for RWC to arrange weld procedures and welder qualifications
- Assess welding capability of employed welders; develop new weld procedures as needed
- Train and develop welders and personnel in welding activities
- Act as global SME for PED/PE(S)R, SANS 347 and other global pressure equipment regulations
- Coordinate NoBo activities globally for PED/PE(S)R; prepare ESRs, HAs, PMA categorizations, and waiver requests
- Act as nominated signatory for legal PED documents; respond to non-European locations for PED requirements
- Review and approve vendor and NoBo PED documentation for compliance; ensure technical files are correct and maintained
- MRBs; review and approve manufacturing records; resolve issues
- Nominated company signatory for Declarations of Conformity, Certificates of Conformance, etc.
The Candidate
- From a QHSE background with supervisory/management experience, including mentoring and development of teams
- Knowledge and skills in: ISO 9001; HSE management/supervision (qualification desirable); structural steel and pipework fabrication; CE Marking; Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU); ISO 3834
- Experience as QC Engineer in an engineering/manufacturing site or similar; relevant formal qualification preferred
- CSWIP 3.1, PCN Level II DPE, MPI, Radiographic interpretation (desirable)
- Knowledge of EN and ASME construction, inspection, and welding codes/standards
- Ability to implement new processes; proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Team player; resourceful, well-organised, dependable, detail-oriented; confident and assertive
- Ability to use initiative and make autonomous decisions
- Willingness to travel internationally when needed
