Sicim is seeking a Project Manager for an upcoming project in Iraq.
Job Description
The Project Manager will assist in managing and supervising all construction activities of the project, ensuring contractual commitments are met.
Responsibilities
- Interface with Construction Manager and Clients, including attending project meetings.
- Maintain relationships with Top Management of the Clients.
- Monitor project resources and identify potential optimizations.
- Prepare reports, consolidating progress and highlighting areas of concern.
- Monitor overall project performance in terms of scheduling, cost, quality, and HSE requirements.
- Oversee the budget and ensure financial accountability.
- Identify potential contractual Change Orders and Claims, coordinate their preparation, negotiate with the Client, and control pricing variations.
- Anticipate clients’ requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Support Procurement and Engineering Teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Project/Program Management, or Engineering from an accredited university, with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry. An advanced degree is desirable.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Project Manager in the industry.
- Experience as Project Manager on at least one EPC project with a TIC > 200 million.
- Experience in the Middle East, especially Iraq or other heavily regulated, harsh environment countries, is desirable.
- Familiarity with latest project management methods, practices, tools, quality, and HSE implementation practices, and regulatory/permitting aspects.
- Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
