A global engineering firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of turn-key projects within their Energy & Environment division. You will coordinate with the project team and act as the primary client contact to ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. This position is based in the northern area of Milan.

PROJECT MANAGER

Organization: Direct Report to the Head of Project Management

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of turn-key projects within our Energy & Environment division —from engineering, procurement to on-site construction of the complete plant.

In this role, you will coordinate every phase of the project, working in close collaboration with the wider Project Team and the Site Construction Manager. Acting as the primary point of contact for the Client, you will manage all communications, align all stakeholders, and ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.

Operating in a dynamic international environment, you will engage with global suppliers, customers or end users to drive seamless project execution.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, identifying necessary resources and setting project timelines.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to work effectively towards project goals and objectives.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate clear communication channels between team members, management, and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
• Continuously improve project management processes and workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience executing projects involving packaged/skid/instrumented products for the energy/oil and gas sector.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
• Proficiency in English is required.
