The European University Institute is seeking candidates with a distinguished record of scholarly publications, postgraduate teaching, and doctoral supervision to fill a Chair (or Assistant Professors) in Digital Governance and Policy Innovation. The Florence School of Transnational Governance aims to appoint a Chair in Digital Governance and Policy Innovation, or alternatively two Chairs at the Assistant Professor level. We recognize that digital governance and policy innovation are rapidly evolving fields. We seek candidates capable of innovative thinking and dedicated to developing new approaches for institutions and societies through digital technologies. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in areas shaping digital governance and policy, such as systems thinking, interface design, interoperability, complexity theory, and experimentalism. Ideal candidates will have expertise in digital governance, focusing on areas like digital policy design & implementation, AI regulation, data literacy & management, cross-border data flows, digital trade, cybersecurity, digital infrastructures, content governance, and regulatory frameworks for digital spaces. A strong disciplinary background and a commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research are essential.
