Job Description
Procurement & Logistics Specialist – Corporate Procurement Department (Europe). This role supports the development of PV solar and BESS projects across Europe, reporting to the Head of Procurement (Europe).
Responsibilities
Procurement
- Define project and contract needs in alignment with engineering and development teams.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships at a portfolio level, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Prepare and lead RFI/RFQ tender processes, negotiate and close contracts for main equipment (modules, inverters, BESS systems, substations, MV/HV lines).
- Conduct cost analysis and negotiations to achieve quality assurance and optimal supply‑chain cost.
- Collaborate with the legal department to secure favorable contract terms.
- Support procurement activities during logging downtimes (e.g., module price requests).
Logistics
- Manage logistics for major equipment, including marine transportation, storage, and quality inspections.
- Oversee documentation management for logistics processes.
- Coordinate with local teams for on‑site inspections and local logistics tasks.
- Ensure consolidated management of production schedules, transportation, and storage to avoid fragmentation across multiple project managers.
- Track and report logistics status during negotiations and execution phases.
General
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on procurement and logistics status.
- Apply process improvements and ensure full compliance with company policies.
- Support clean transition plans and workload distribution when team changes occur.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (mandatory); master’s desirable.
- At least 10 years of procurement experience within solar PV industry (IPPs) and internationally.
- Strong knowledge of industrial project procurement and contract management.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, highly organized with excellent project‑management skills.
- Working knowledge of integration between procurement and supply‑chain systems data.
- Ability to work without supervision and travel flexibly.
