Un'azienda chimica globale cerca un Operations Manager in Toscana per gestire il piano di produzione e garantire la qualità e la sicurezza. La posizione richiede una laurea in ingegneria chimica e oltre 15 anni di esperienza nella gestione operativa, con conoscenze specifiche della normativa italiana in materia di sicurezza. Competenze

  • 15+ anni di esperienza nella gestione operativa e nella produzione.

Specifically, the role is responsible for the following activities:

  • Execution of the production plan in terms of quantity and quality, in compliance with production, safety, health, and environmental standards, while optimizing and controlling costs, yields, and resources; monitoring essential operating conditions and assessing and resolving any related anomalies.
  • Coordination of ethylene availability planning in collaboration with central structures and development of time‑based production programs (annual, monthly, and weekly) in line with received quantities and mix, plant availability, and associated variable costs.
  • Monitoring plant reliability and production losses and coordinating improvement opportunities.
  • Providing technical support through internal resources for normal production activities and for defining and implementing new investments.
  • Monitoring specific consumption and studying opportunities for economic and efficiency optimization.
  • Monitoring plant emissions and studying possibilities for optimization and continuous environmental improvement.
  • Formalizing and maintaining documentation related to the assigned area collaborating with the research unit to support specific maintenance activities.
  • Handling technical complaints from customers supplied with products from the HDPE plant and managing non‑conformities related to product quality.
  • Classifying and allocating finished products with one or more characteristics outside product/customer specifications to individual customers or customer groups.
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
  • Monitoring and controlling process parameters in relation to intermediate and finished product characteristics to guarantee product property consistency and studying possible operational improvements, both structural and procedural, including updating operator knowledge.
  • Executing specific projects, managing study and economic evaluation, legal and internal/external compliance, design, material procurement, and final implementation in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Managing personnel within the assigned sector.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving aspects related to Environmental, Energy, Quality, and Safety Management Systems and those covered by the 20 INEOS Safety Principles, both behavioral and process‑related, IGGN, LSR, OCS, and ISCC and PSV certifications. Carrying out HSE activities within the relevant sectors and implementing HSE programs established by Management and the Prevention and Protection Service.
Competenze ed esperienza

A successful Operations Manager should have:

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, relevant safety experience (BS+PS), plant operation experience and experience in other manufacturing aspects in general (maintenance, cost analysis, budgeting, technical management, people management, working with Unions/negotiating) - likely 15 years + experience.

Technical skills

  • Broad understanding of all chemical process industry aspects.
  • Preferably Polyolefins production process/product experience.
  • Significant experience in operation of high hazardous plants.
  • Knowledge of Italian labor, SHE laws.

Language skills

  • Fluent Italian.
  • Good working knowledge of English.
