As a Medical Science Liaison for Breast Cancer, you will be the primary contact for medical and scientific matters related to our products, engaging in Scientific Exchange with AstraZeneca teams, Key External Experts, Health Care Professionals, and Clinical Investigators. Join us in our mission to redefine breast cancer treatment and improve patient outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Engage with external specialists to identify medical unmet needs and evidence gaps.
  • Deliver presentations in a non-promotional scientific context as per Medical Affairs plans.
  • Provide medical input to the Competitive Intelligence Department.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with Key External Experts in your territory.
  • Support Medical Advisors/Medical Lead and Clinical Operations Team in trial site selection and feasibility assessment.
  • Collect and discuss proposals for independent studies with Investigators.
  • Identify local medical needs and define a Local Scientific Plan (LSP).
  • Manage a local medical budget to support and organize projects.
  • Collaborate with Area/Field Managers to implement the LSP.
  • Support Regional and Local Access Managers in aligning Local Scientific Plans with regional plans.
  • Manage medical information requests and act as a country delegate for assigned GMT activities.
  • Ensure all activities align with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines/Internal procedures, and Italian legislation.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Scientific Degree, Master or Doctorate Degree in the relevant field of study
  • Previous solid experience as Medical Science Liaison in a well-structured pharmaceutical company
  • Fundamental knowledge of basic research, drug development, clinical environment
  • Detailed knowledge of the local regulatory requirements related to medical affairs activities
  • Experience in mapping new TA(s) and product launch preparation and execution
  • Communication skills, including communicating detailed technical, scientific, or medical information
  • Ability to work in team and in alliance
  • Leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of written/spoken English and fluency in Italian
  • Domicile in Piemonte or Liguria
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Qualified Doctor in the relevant Therapeutic Area
  • Experience in clinical trials
  • Experience in product launch
  • Proficiency in spoken English
  • Experience in the oncology field (an experience in the Breast TA is preferred)
  • Medical Degree is a plus
