Summary of the role

Nordson Precision Agriculture, a global leader in precision farming technologies, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their R&D Mechanical Engineering team. The position is permanent and based in Rubiera (Italy), reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. The role involves designing and developing advanced mechanical and mechatronics systems that power the next generation of precision agriculture equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Research, design and develop advanced mechanical and hydraulic fluid transfer systems for precision agriculture.
• Drive innovation by ensuring products meet and exceed quality expectations and industry standards throughout development and production.
• Support continuous improvement, cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable solutions that meet customer needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Excellent command of CAD tools and PLM.
• Strong experience in plastic injection‑molded component design.
• Solid knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
• Solid understanding of project management principles and FMEA.
• Experience with FEM simulation is a plus.
• Intermediate level of English.
