Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity in Hitachi Energy for the Business Unit Transformers to join our team across Europe. You will lead the design and development of innovative products and systems from concept to completion, driving projects to success and ensuring designs meet high standards of quality, functionality, and manufacturability. Your expertise and leadership will guide cross-functional teams and help achieve project objectives efficiently. How you will make an impact

  • Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and seek opportunities for design innovations.
  • Engage with customers to capture and incorporate their feedback into design solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, selecting optimal materials and components.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation that supports design processes and facilitates knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and implement continuous design improvements based on test results and industry best practices, enhancing quality and efficiency.
Your background
