Lead Order Specialist – Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company

Job Description Summary

Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, invents the future of flight, designing, producing, and maintaining components and propulsion systems for civil and military aviation. It values people and operates under the FLIGHT DECK lean model. The Lead Order Specialist will work as the CRO Order Manager in the Commercial Service – Component Repair & Overhaul team, supporting the Program Manager and ensuring contract deliverables and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Analyze and manage customers’ purchase orders to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Induct and flow‑down materials (MIL) and other details to stakeholders via GE workflows and BPM.
  • Maintain internal DataLake and databases with Excel tools, recording all process steps.
  • Prepare cost estimations for customer approval and handle archiving and flow‑down of disposition.
  • Issue invoices for services performed, ensuring compliance with scope and price catalogues.
  • Act as interface between the customer and internal business teams, managing information transfer and requests.
  • Resolve issues promptly, inform customers of progress, and support the PM on changes, variations, and solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to contract service, operational, and performance specifications and financial & technical metrics.
  • Support proposal preparation and negotiations when required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve OTR KPI targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Generate effective reporting using company tools/systems (monthly reports on milestones, metrics, etc.).
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, analytical graphs).
  • Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken).
  • Work visa compliant with local regulations.
