Overview
Techint - Compagnia Tecnica Internazionale spa is currently looking for the Lead HSE Engineer intended as Process Safety / Loss Prevention / Technical Safety Lead. FIELD HSE engineering (safety at site) experience is not required for the present profile.
The Lead HSE Engineer ensures participation and support in all activities of the HSE engineering discipline in the scope of work for offers / projects / studies under the supervision of the discipline coordinator. He / She has the specific know-how for Process safety design and Risk analysis, with good and referenced knowledge of :
- Safety design (e.g. HSE legislation / norms compliance, layout spacing, spill containment)
- Hazard / Risk analysis (e.g. HAZOP, SIL, QRA, FERA)
- Fire protection (e.g. F&G, fire fighting and fireproofing design, hazardous area classification)
- Environmental protection (e.g. BAT compliance, emission limits specification, noise study)
He / She is able to do the necessary calculations and simulations to produce the relevant documentation of complex projects and / or check / approve the corresponding documentation produced by assigned junior resources or external resources
Responsibilities
- Participate and support all activities of the HSE engineering discipline in the scope of offers / projects / studies under the supervision of the discipline coordinator.
- Process safety design and risk analysis know-how with knowledge of safety design, hazard / risk analysis, fire protection and environmental protection.
- Capable of performing calculations and simulations to produce documentation and review documentation produced by junior or external resources.
- Supervise the preparation of studies, documentation, technical specifications, roadmaps (P&ID), and reports for process engineering development across feasibility, basic, FEED and Detailed Engineering and in the offer phases.
- Provide technical and organizational management as Lead Engineer of the teams assigned for the specific projects, reporting to the HSE engineering discipline coordinator.
- Participate in meetings with Customers, Consortium Partners, Authorities, Suppliers, etc. (Techint HQ or abroad) for activities related to the assigned tasks.
- Participate in surveys or assistance in the field for HSE engineering subjects.
- Provide assistance to other engineering disciplines for the development of HSE engineering documentation and for the correct application of the corresponding requirements.
- Execute work in compliance with company project standards and quality policies, applicable laws and regulations, and project schedules.
- Keep updated about technological developments, new risk analysis methodologies, and issues of new or updated safety laws and regulations.
- Be open to use / develop Process Safety methodologies to be applied to Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, Green Economy, Refinery, Power generation and Infrastructure, under the supervision of the discipline coordinator.
- Support the training of young HSE engineers in the teams.
Knowledge / Certification required
- Engineering graduation with focus on safety / loss prevention design or Loss prevention design in particular for Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical industry.
- Good experience of the most common Risk analysis methodologies and use of relevant dedicated commercial software.
- Good experience in Active Fire fighting system design and construction, mainly according to NFPA and EN standards.
- Fire Professional certification ex D.Lgs. 8 marzo 2006, n. 139 and / or Functional Safety certification would be an advantage.
- Mandatory : Fluent Italian and good English level (professional).
