As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to be based at our office in Carugate (MI).

Dedicated to our Consumer and Commercial Clients, you will be testing a variety of innovative Client products to ensure that they meet the relevant safety standards. You will know ULs certification systems, services and processes well to support our customers in their product safety certification journey. You will complete work that matters.

Responsibilities

• Examine test samples and read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments and operational instructions
• Build and / or adapt setup and test equipment to new situations, based on data sheets and instructions from engineering department
• Operate designated machines and special laboratory equipment; perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory area
• Evaluate test performance and review test to construct data with a senior member of the team
• When required, communicate with the Engineering department to discuss additional follow-up tests, samples, equipment, methods and / or results

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary Education plus some direct testing experience
• Willingness to learn and challenge personal abilities
• Effective communication skills and good team work attitude
• Good problem solving skills. Ability to work with targets. Good comprehension of English language (written and spoken)
