Position: As a Junior Financial Analyst at Musixmatch, you will support the Royalty Squad in managing royalty-related financial processes and ensuring data accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable reporting and gain exposure to strategic finance initiatives, including corporate development, potential M&A, and executive-level reporting. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong analytical skills while contributing to both operational and strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting licensing agreements and translating them into royalty accruals, invoices, and reporting.
• Contribute to the maintenance of royalty reporting systems, working with Data, Product, Finance and Engineering teams.
• Help prepare royalty distribution models for publishers, DSPs, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in developing financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis under the guidance of senior analysts.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports for senior leadership.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of royalty management and reporting.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, audit, consulting, or corporate finance, preferably within a Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm.
• Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and quantitative skills.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with BI tools or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
