About the role

We are looking for a Jr. Marketing Specialist with 1–3 years of experience to support our growing marketing team in creating engaging content and executing events that strengthen Akamas’ brand and visibility.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing events to life, telling stories, and managing online communities and social channels in a fast-moving B2B tech environment.

You will work closely with sales to engage prospects and customers, both online and offline, by managing social channels, nurturing user communities, and organizing Akamas’ presence at industry events and client gatherings.

What you’ll do
  • Support the company's presence at trade shows and conferences (before, during, and after): logistics, communication, promotional content, staffing, engagement, etc.
  • Organize get-togethers with prospects, clients, and resellers. Our users and our buyers are our partners, and we want to work closely with them;
  • Bring Akamas into online communities on many engineering-friendly platforms (Reddit, Stack Overflow, Quora, etc) to engage our users where they are;
  • Manage social media channels (LinkedIn primarily), including copy, visuals coordination, and editorial planning;
  • Work with your marketing colleagues to plan and run webinars and online events, coordinating speakers, agendas, and promotional activities, when needed;
  • Contribute to Akamas’ DEM campaigns to make sure our communities are up to date with upcoming and recent activities;
  • Monitor the performance of social posts and campaigns, sharing insights and ideas for improvement;
  • Support day-to-day marketing activities and campaigns as needed.
What we’re looking for
  • 1–3 years of experience in tech marketing, events, or communications;
  • Strong interest in social media, events, and communities, ideally in B2B and tech;
  • Knowledge of social media analytics;
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at once (content, events, deadlines);
  • Structured and organized approach—don’t miss event preparation deadlines and align the team;
  • Gusto: we want to engage our communities in a delightful way. You seek to deliver a pleasant event to our audience;
  • Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn;
  • Comfortable working in an international, fast‑paced environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in English.
Nice to have
  • Experience in tech communities such as the CNCF;
  • Familiarity with B2B tech, SaaS, or engineering‑oriented audiences;
  • Experience in maximizing the impact of trade shows;
  • Experience working with tools like LinkedIn Advertising, Canva, and Monday (or other project management tools).
