A global specialty ingredients company is seeking a Sales Manager to develop their business in Italy. The role involves B2B sales of nutritional supplements and cosmetic ingredients. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in the food ingredients sector, a scientific degree, and fluency in English and Italian. Regular travel across Italy is required.

Sales Manager – Nutritional, Cosmetical and Functional Food Ingredients

GFIC is a global, scientific‑driven company specializing in high‑value ingredients for nutritional, cosmetic and functional food applications. With 8 production sites, more than 500 patents and more than 100 products, GFIC is recruiting a Sales Manager to drive business development in Italy.

Overview

Office based in Milan, with regular visits to the head office in Germany. The role focuses on B2B sales of supplements, functional foods and cosmetic ingredients to manufacturers, contract manufacturers and pharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the business in Nutritional Supplements, Cosmetical and Functional Foods areas.
  • Sell phytonutrients, standardized herbal extracts, specialty fine chemicals and organic intermediates to B2B clients.
  • Travel 50% of the time to meet customers across Italy.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of B2B food ingredients / supplements sector experience.
  • Commercial background in sales and marketing.
  • A scientific degree in food technology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology or comparable.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Sales driven with a track record of selling supplements to Contract Manufacturing Companies or experience working within a CMO company.
  • Experience selling to food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical B2B clients in Italy.
Requirements

5 years of work experience in B2B food ingredients / supplements sector.

Commercial backgrounds in sales & marketing.

A scientific degree, ideally in food technology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology or comparable.

Fluent in English and Italian.
