We are looking for a highly experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team for our industrial plant. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the broader community impacted by our environmental footprint. As a recognized subject matter expert, you will lead initiatives, manage complex projects, and mentor junior professionals in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and surrounding environments.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and environmental incidents, collaborating with engineers, management, and regulatory authorities to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide expert advice and training on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with community members, environmental groups, and other stakeholders affected by the organization’s environmental performance.
  • Manage large-scale projects or processes with minimal oversight.
  • Coach, review, and delegate tasks to junior professionals.
  • Solve complex and challenging problems with innovative and effective solutions.
Your background
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental and employee health & safety roles, ideally in a complex or regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor others.
  • Fluent English and Italian languages.
