A leading asset management firm in Italy seeks a Head of Italy to drive commercial growth and lead a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the asset management ecosystem, strong relationships within the industry, and a proven record of revenue generation. This role requires fluency in both Italian and English. The position offers a chance to influence the growth of the Italian market within a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

  • Proven track record in revenue growth and senior client relationship management.

Reports to: Head of EMEA

Team: 10+ | Focus : 50% Commercial Growth / 50% Team Leadership

A rapidly expanding European media and intelligence platform serving the asset management industry is strengthening its Italian presence. The business spans content, digital media, research, data and events, with strong influence across the buy side and a growing footprint across key European markets.

Private markets—private equity, private credit, infrastructure, private real estate—are becoming an increasingly important growth engine. Allocations are rising across Italy’s private banking, wealth management and institutional segments, driving demand for trusted insights, education, content and high-quality allocator access. This creates major new opportunities for commercial partnerships, events, research and strategic expansion in the Italian market.

Role Overview

The Head of Italy will lead the local business, accelerate commercial performance, and develop a high-performing team. This role requires a senior leader with deep Italian market experience, strong buy-side relationships, and the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Market Growth
  • Own and execute the Italian commercial strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth across private banks, wealth managers, distributors and institutional investors.
  • Build and strengthen senior relationships across allocator and asset manager networks.
  • Identify and shape new commercial opportunities, including private markets content, events, digital products and partnership solutions.
  • Lead high-impact pitches and strategic account planning.
Leadership & Office Management
  • Lead, review, reshape mentor and develop a 10+ person cross‑functional team (sales, client service, marketing support, operations).
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, high‑performance culture.
  • Oversee hiring, workforce planning and talent development.
  • Manage local operations, budgets and regulatory alignment.
  • Represent Italy in regional leadership forums and contribute to European strategy.
Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in the Italian asset management ecosystem.
  • Deep network across distributors, private banks, wealth managers, and / or institutional allocators.
  • Proven track record in revenue growth and senior client relationship management.
  • Experience leading and developing teams (ideally 5+).
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels, mutual funds, private markets trends and market dynamics.
  • Fluent Italian and English.
