Opportunity

We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Milan. This is a unique opportunity for a technically passionate engineer to launch their engineering career driving innovation and contributing to national and international groundbreaking projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Infrastructure and Structural teams across a wide range of national and international projects, engaging in field and office-based activities under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Plan, supervise, and report on ground investigations, ensuring accurate data collection and comprehensive reporting, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Contribute to technical analysis, modelling, and reporting, applying your academic knowledge to real-world challenges for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.
  • Communicate design solutions (foundations, retaining structures, underground structures, slopes and earthworks) to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to geotechnical research engaging with Arup global Ground Engineering Skills Network, Universities and research partners, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Qualifications

We’re looking for graduates who are passionate about technical excellence and innovation. We also value:

  • Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent (acquired or to be acquired within the current year);
  • Plan to acquire membership with a relevant professional body (Ordine degli Ingegneri);
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an eagerness to learn and apply new concepts;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative environment;
  • High motivation, proactivity and willingness to take on new challenges;
  • Interest and ability in digital space 3D modelling, scripting, or GIS would be an advantage.
