A leading geospatial technology company is seeking a Frontend Web Developer to design and implement web-based geospatial applications. The role requires 3+ years of experience in frontend development, particularly with the React-JS ecosystem, and expertise in web mapping applications. The position is remote-friendly but candidates should ideally work within GMT-1 to GMT+3 time zones. This role focuses on long-term collaboration and includes code reviews and mentoring responsibilities.

Competenze

GeoSolutions is looking for talented software engineers for the Frontend Web Developer position which would mainly involve designing and implementing web-based geospatial applications as well as providing support for our flagship open source frontend product MapStore ().

Main Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of new MapStore features
• Performing Code Reviews
• Providing guidance and leadership to other member of the MapStore team

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as frontend developer with React-JS ecosystem
• 1+ years of experience with webmapping applications & visualizing geospatial data
• Working knowledge of mapping frameworks like Leaflet, OpenLayers, Cesium, Maplibre is required
• Knowledge of web development (REST Services) with Python or Java is a plus
• Being fluent in English, both written and spoken
• If you have no experience with developing webmapping frontends your application will not be considered!

We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT-1 and GMT+3.

Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.

Notice that the selection process will most probably include an exercise to test your React / Redux skills.
