What does the role involve?

The role is based in our Finance Shared Service Center in Milan and will manage general account operations for various markets around the world, working in an international environment.

You will perform compliant General Ledger processes and ensure accurate financial bookings in areas such as month-end closing, year-end closing, Fixed Assets, General Ledger Master Data, Intercompany, and tax. You will maintain adequate ledgers (Balances, Profit and Loss, and Reclassified Profit and Loss).

You will review and keep the balance sheet up to date, posting accurate accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

You will identify and drive GL process and service level improvements using continuous improvement tools and suitable technologies.

You will serve as a sparring partner for Finance Business Partners by linking business decisions to accounting processes and by delivering and improving General Ledger services to our entities.

You will also ensure compliance through Internal Controls, proper filing, and responding to internal and external audit requests.

What you need is :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent finance qualification
  • Experience acting as a business partner by influencing finance and non-finance stakeholders and communicating effectively with them
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Expertise in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
