Overview

Specialista Senior / Project Manager – Elekta

We are seeking motivated professionals to support our customers—healthcare professionals who use Elekta products to help patients and their communities. The opportunity is for a Field Service Engineer in City of Padova, Italy supporting critical systems that make a real difference in people’s lives. We are open to applicants residing in the Veneto region of Italy.

What you’ll do

The Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing and supporting all Elekta products within the assigned area. Under the guidance of the Service Manager and BU office, you will manage maintenance, repair, installation, and customer support tasks both independently and as part of a team. You will be expected to:

  • Carry out planned and corrective maintenance, upgrades, installations, and courtesy visits.
  • Provide emergency support to customers, either on-site or remotely.
  • Work under your own initiative to complete tasks, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Travel at short notice and occasionally work away from home for extended periods.
  • Guide and support less experienced engineers as appropriate.
  • Complete all service documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
  • Independently perform all planned maintenance and most corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct complex fault finding and repair, including the use of remote tools (IntelliMax, QlikSense).
  • Ensure all work complies with Elekta safety instructions and procedures.
  • Demonstrate competence in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems (including HT, RF, vacuum, water, and pressurized gas systems).
  • Accurately populate service systems and databases.
  • Deliver effective communication with customers, managing expectations during service activities.
  • Participate in local knowledge transfer, coaching, and training activities.
  • Support installation projects and assist peers in troubleshooting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share best practices.
What you bring
  • A higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Practical competence in electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Competent in IT systems including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Ability to travel extensively and at short notice across the region.
