A leading design company is seeking a Field Sales Manager to enhance its market presence in Northern Italy. This role involves identifying potential clients, managing key accounts, and providing customer training. The ideal candidate should have over 7 years of experience in design sales, exceptional negotiation skills, and be fluent in English. Competence in Microsoft Office tools and a willingness to travel are essential. This position is based in Milan, Italy, with applications managed through a recruitment partner.

Descrizione del lavoro

The Field Sales Manager, directly reporting to the Sales Director Italy, will strengthen and expand the company’s sales and market presence in Northern Italy.

He/she will identify new markets and customer potential and visit A&D, dealers and furniture manufacturers to represent the brand.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales:

  • Identify and approach the A&D community, interior designers, associated contractors, furniture dealers and selected furniture manufacturers, both Italy-based and international organisations;
  • Create long-term relationships with above-mentioned target customers to ensure the company’s product will be part of the selection process and prescribed for new projects or in customers’ solutions;
  • Contribute to Key Account maintenance and development according to business plan objectives;
  • Identify and approach the known high-potential target customers and seek new opportunities;
  • Project management with A&D community/contractors and furniture manufacturers.

Customer training and showroom activities:

  • Training of network dealers/sales force and A&D community;
  • Make the showroom in Milano the preferred place to be for events, meetings and networking;
  • Promote the company’s other business units where appropriate.

Administration and follow-up:

  • Weekly updates on activities;
  • Deliver identified growth;
  • Provide monthly reports to management on achievement of KPI’s, sales statistics, etc:
  • Actively use Social Media to promote the brand and activities;
  • Share and implement own activity plans.

Requirements:

  • +7 years of experience in a Design sales organization;
  • Relevant commercial educational background;
  • Outstanding sales approach and strong negotiation skills;
  • Able to build solid and long-lasting business and professional relationships (internal and external);
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office tools;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Willingness to travel.
