We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our MEP team, preferably based in our Milan office. The role will support a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors such as Renewable Energy, Architecture and Urban Regeneration, Infrastructure, and Oil & Gas.

Working closely with the team, the selected candidate will contribute to projects at various stages of development, up to detailed design. Responsibilities include electrical design, specialist consulting, and technical coordination of the project team, with a strong focus on goal-oriented work and high-quality delivery. Experience in Construction Supervision (Direzione Lavori) is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire project cycle, from client needs assessment to final delivery, including project sign-off when required;
  • Independently deliver reports and designs in line with Stantec’s quality and Health & Safety standards;
  • Manage client interactions and contribute to business development;
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery;
  • Proactively share knowledge within the team, support team growth in both size and expertise, and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (LM-28) or a diploma in industrial electrotechnical engineering with proven professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in the design sector, preferably within consulting/engineering firms specializing in electrical and special systems.
  • Experience managing procedures for supply requests and connections to low and medium voltage distribution networks.
  • Previous experience in preparing feasibility studies, design documentation, and authorization documents for industrial, civil, and special electrical systems in LV and MV.
  • Familiarity with fire safety regulations and related detection and signaling systems.
  • Knowledge of Italian legislation regarding electrical and special systems (UNI, CEI, IEC, etc.).
  • Flexibility, curiosity, strong team-working attitude, and proactivity.
  • Proficiency in both Italian and English.
  • Knowledge of major IT tools, electrical design software, and technical drawing programs (CAD).
  • Availability for missions and/or short trips, mainly within Italy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous international experience.
  • Familiarity with Italian permitting legislation (AU, VIA, etc.).
  • Knowledge and use of lighting design software such as Dialux or similar/equivalent.
  • Knowledge and use of energy yield simulation software such as PVSyst or similar/equivalent.
  • Knowledge and use of Autodesk Revit.
