Job Opportunity: CTO - Chief Technology Officer

AIEM SRL, a leading EPC General Contractor backed by a major global private equity fund in infrastructure, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their team. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the CTO will oversee the technical direction of utility-scale photovoltaic plants and manage the construction process of renewable energy projects, from design to commissioning, coordinating and supporting the internal team.

The CTO will serve as the client's point of contact during the design phase and liaise with the engineering team. Responsibilities include managing renewable project contracts, planning and supervising execution projects at medium and high voltage levels, coordinating external consultants and service providers, and managing documentation with local distributors and the national grid operator. The role also involves supporting the sales department during technical negotiations and assisting Project Managers during EPC project initiation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree in Electrical, Energy, Environmental Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic sector as CTO or Project Engineer within EPC Contractors or development companies;
• Proficiency in industry software (e.g., PVsyst, PVcase) and GIS tools;
• Excellent skills in AutoCAD and other specialized applications;
• Knowledge of key industry suppliers and electrical, machinery, safety regulations;
• Strong command of Office Suite and pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures for large-scale solar plants;
• Fluent in English.
