A unique retreat center in Tuscany is seeking a Development Coordinator. This role is vital for expanding the donor base and implementing effective fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will bring valuable experience in development, major gifts, and capital campaigns. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and hospitality, ensuring ongoing support for the organization's mission. This position reports to the Executive Director and involves significant collaboration with staff to enhance overall fundraising efforts.
Lutheran Valley Retreat Employees shall first be servants of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, manifest a spirit of hospitality and service in graciously dealing with service recipients, and all other people, and a strong sense of commitment to teamwork with other employees.
Qualification: The Development Director shall be a person committed to the mission of LVR. She/he shall have at least five years of development experience and, preferable, experience with major gifts and capital campaigns. Background with LVR will be very helpful.
The Development Coordinator is responsible to the Executive Director. The Business Manager and Marketing Coordinator shall work in support of the Development Officer and coordinate office functions in support of the total development program, including gift thank you’s and data entry completed by the Business Manager and Marketing Manager.
Conducted annually by the Executive Director.
LVR is a truly remote camp, completely surrounded by Pike National Forest, allowing for staff and campers to let go of the world and focus on their faith. While LVR has been around for 66 years they are entering an exciting phase of camp promotion to new markets, a phase we are hoping the new Business Manager can contribute to with creativity and an open mind.
