A tech managed services provider is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support in Alessandria, Italy. Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer (Onsite)

Location: Alessandria, Italy

Work Mode: 100% Onsite

Employment Type: Contract / Full-time (based on project needs)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer who enjoys being the go-to person when technology needs immediate attention. This role is based in Alessandria and requires daily interaction with local users, so strong communication in both Italian and English is essential. If you like solving problems face-to-face rather than remotely, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide onsite desktop and user support for day-to-day IT issues
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Handle user account support (password resets, access issues, basic Active Directory tasks)
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (PCs, printers, scanners, monitors)
  • Support common business applications (Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams)
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN basics)
  • Manage IT assets: tagging, tracking, replacements, and disposal coordination
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when required
  • Document incidents, solutions, and procedures clearly in the ticketing system
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in desktop or onsite IT support
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory and user management
  • Comfortable working with both hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end users
Language Requirement (Mandatory)
  • Italian – fluent / native level
  • English – good working proficiency
