Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer in Milano for one of our top clients, a leading company in the Finance sector.

This role is responsible for maintaining company end-user equipment and providing technical support for various application and network issues.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will collaborate with senior IT engineers on complex technical issues and assist with IT projects, particularly related to Workplace changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a diverse group of users with varying levels of technical expertise;
  • Provide desk-side and remote support to end-users;
  • Maintain Thin Client devices, laptops, mobile phones, focusing on functionality, user experience, and problem resolution;
  • Install and troubleshoot end-user equipment including hardware, software, mobile devices, desk phones, and printers;
  • Manage conference room equipment;
  • Create and update technical documentation for the knowledge repository;
  • Handle onboarding and termination tasks, including configuring devices, registering SIM cards, and managing access;
  • Monitor and manage the IT support ticket queue.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English communication;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft end-user technologies (Windows 10, Office 365);
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience with end-user technologies;
  • Good knowledge of Windows registry;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues promptly.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow.
