Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians to support customers in multiple locations. This role supports hardware and network diagnostics and physical repair, assisting with on‑call rotation and 24/7 support.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Working to meet SLA’s against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
  • Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
  • Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards etc).
  • Carrying out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs.
  • Working with cross‑functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.
  • Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center.
  • Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.
  • Identifying and help create documentation for use globally.
  • Identifying and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
  • Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required.
  • Interacting with third party vendors & contractors.
  • Contributing to the development of other team members.

  • Take ownership of technical issues brought by their customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
  • Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
  • Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.
  • Are biased to act in the absence of direction or support.
  • Improve effectiveness through process innovation.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with on‑call rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
  • Some regional travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
