📍 Resident Engineer (Cyber Security) – Italy (Rome, Onsite)

Iperium is supporting a global leader in cybersecurity as they expand their Resident Engineering function in Italy. This is an onsite role working directly with enterprise customers, helping them strengthen their security posture, respond to threats in real time, and maximise the value of an industry-leading detection and response platform.

🔍 What you’ll be doing :

• Acting as the onsite cybersecurity expert for major enterprise clients
• Conducting security assessments, audits, and vulnerability analysis
• Supporting incident response and guiding customers through threat investigations
• Leveraging advanced threat intelligence to identify risks and improve defencesAdvising senior stakeholders on best practices and security strategy
• Providing hands‑on support across on‑prem and cloud environments
• Enhancing the customer’s security posture through continuous improvement

🛠 What we’re looking for :

• Strong grounding in IT and networking systems
• Experience with security assessments, audits, and vulnerability management
• Solid understanding of incident response methodologies
• Working knowledge of threat intelligence and common attack vectors
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS / IPS, endpoint security and other core security tech
• Prior customer-facing or consultancy / outsourcing experience
• Bonus : scripting / programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP or hybrid)
• Strong communication, conflict management, and presentation skills
