A leading health technology company is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide second level support in Italy and Germany. The candidate will resolve customer issues using technical expertise and troubleshoot automation platforms. Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany.

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will operate in an international environment and provide second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and Service Engineers, support the Applications Team, and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems to support the commercial organization.

You will operate independently primarily in Italian/Germany territory and in Europe when needed (overnight travel may be required) to provide excellent customer service while installing and maintaining automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and standalone laboratory environments. We operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor colleagues, and provide expert technical support.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience with the Diagnostics market.
  • Early careers are welcome but with troubleshooting experience gained during thesis or internships.
  • Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
  • Ability to travel and provide service in the country as well as periodic travel to other European countries and overnight travel. A current valid driver’s license is required.

  • Analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify problems and find effective solutions.
