Descrizione del lavoro

This role, based in Milano, has the primary responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and B-F internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities include partnering with the business to provide advice on accounting and compliance matters, leading system implementations, and supporting regional controllers with process improvements and ad hoc analysis. Internally, your title will be Accountant.

What You Can Expect

  • Integrity of Financial Records
  • Ensure timely accuracy of financial statements and general ledger data, including journal entries, ledger reconciliations, tax compliance, and month-end close activities.
  • Prepare account analysis, journal review, and Blackline reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Italy business partners to resolve accounting issues and provide support with clear communication of quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Address tight deadlines related to month-end closing, financial reporting, audit data preparation, and tax declarations.
  • Ensure compliance with local taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and consultants for VAT and compliance work.
  • Manage Material Ledger close, prepaid, and fixed asset entries during monthly close.
  • Post accruals, reconcile bank accounts, and ensure timely tax payments.

Analysis & Business Partnering

  • Assist in providing insightful analysis of Italy operations and financial performance.
  • Partner with corporate tax, legal, treasury, and other regional accounting teams.
  • Supervise intercompany billing and accounting, including quarterly MSA invoices.

Internal Control and Process Improvement

  • Identify control gaps and assess internal controls, providing training on policies and processes.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes.

Special Projects

  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and handle ad hoc requests related to regional activities.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high integrity.

  • Experience in FMCG or liquor industry is a plus.
