Role Summary
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong foundations in brand research, consumer insight, and brand planning to help translate data and cultural signals into clear brand directions. This role bridges research, creative, and client business objectives, ensuring brand decisions are insight-led and commercially relevant.
Our office is located in PIK2, North Jakarta.
Full-time hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Brand & Consumer Research
- Managing qualitative and quantitative research (FGDs, IDIs, social listening, surveys, desk research).
- Analyze market landscape, competitors, category dynamics, and trends.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights (not just data reporting).
- Identify cultural, behavioral, and generational shifts impacting brands.
- Insight Development
- Turn consumer behavior and data into human truths, tensions, and motivations.
- Map consumer journey and touchpoints to identify brand opportunities.
- Distill complex information into sharp strategic narratives.
- Brand Strategy Development
- Brand positioning
- Brand architecture
- Brand personality & tone
- Brand purpose & narrative
- Help define brand differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Ensure brand strategy aligns with business goals and category realities.
- Creative & Communication Planning
- Write creative briefs grounded in insight.
- Partner with creative teams to ensure ideas stay strategically on track.
- Evaluate concepts against strategy and consumer relevance.
- Contribute to communication frameworks (message hierarchy, RTBs, storytelling angle).
- Client & Internal Collaboration
- Present research findings and strategic recommendations to internal teams and clients.
- Work closely with account, creative, and research teams.
- Support workshops, brand immersions, and co-creation sessions.
- Trend & Culture Monitoring
- Track macro trends, pop culture, digital behavior, and category innovation.
- Provide regular trend reports and foresight inputs for brand planning.
Experience & Skills
- Experience: 3 years in branding agency, strategy consultancy, research agency, or integrated agency;
- Experience with brand strategy projects, research-based insight development, brand positioning frameworks, trend reports, and strategy presentations.
- Strategic Thinking: Sees patterns, not just information
- Research Capability: Familiar with research methodologies (qual & quant); comfortable interpreting data and consumer behavior
- Brand Understanding: Knowledge of brand frameworks (Positioning, JTBD, Archetypes, Brand Pyramid, etc.); understands how brands grow and compete
- Communication: Strong storytelling and presentation skills; can simplify complexity into clear narratives
- Analytical + Creative Balance: Comfortable with numbers and abstract thinking; bridges logic with creativity; works well with creatives, researchers, and account teams; open to feedback and iteration
