We're on a mission to publish insightful and innovative journalism about Asia's tech industry. To do this, we're hiring a Tech Journalist who is skilled at nurturing sources with the goal of publishing credibly reported stories.

Responsibilities

• Publish impactful breaking news in English
• Develop a network of industry sources across Asia and mine compelling stories from these sources. A dedicated travel budget will be catered for this.
• Coverage scope:Southeast Asia and beyond, across key tech verticals

Required experience

• Track record of developing sources and getting scoops
• Written articles in a professional setting for a reputable media organization, large or small
• Good to have:Track record of publishing insightful news analysis and trend stories
• Likes to build relationships with sourcesInterested in the inner workings of technology and businesses
• Has a sound understanding of what readers want, and how to sell a story to them
• Able to submit well-written and well-contexualized stories that don't need rescuing by editors
• Ability to communicate candidly but empathetically
