Overview
The Exhibition Marketing Lead drives the full spectrum of marketing strategy and execution for the assigned trade show. This role leads campaign planning, branding, audience acquisition, digital marketing, media partnerships, and onsite communications to ensure each event achieves strong attendance, engagement, and commercial outcomes. This role requires strong command of English and ability to speak Chinese is a strong added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop annual and event-specific marketing strategies for visitor, delegate, and exhibitor acquisition.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Build marketing budgets, timelines, and KPIs for each event.
Campaign Management
- Lead 360° campaigns across digital, social media, email, paid ads, PR, and offline channels.
- Optimize messaging and creative assets to drive registrations and audience quality.
- Create compelling content to produce brochures, web content, videos, and promotional materials.
- Manage event websites, SEO, marketing automation, and CRM-driven campaigns.
- Track funnel performance and audience segmentation; use analytics to improve conversion.
- Oversee paid media, retargeting, and lookalike audience strategies.
Partnerships & Media Relations
- Build partnerships with media, industry associations, chambers, and community groups to expand reach.
- Manage press releases, media kits, and interview opportunities for key industry spokespeople.
Exhibitor & Sponsor Marketing
- Develop exhibitor toolkits, marketing guides, and co-promotion programs.
- Ensure sponsors receive promised visibility and branding deliverables.
- Oversee onsite signage, show guides, venue branding, and experience touchpoints.
- Ensure consistent branding throughout the event journey — from pre-event to post-event.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Operations, Sales & Sponsorship, and Business Relations teams to align marketing with commercial objectives.
- Present campaign performance reports to management and recommend improvement strategies.
Post-Event Analysis
- Conduct post-event marketing reviews, visitor analytics, satisfaction surveys, and ROI reports.
- Use insights to improve future editions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in exhibitions, events, or B2B marketing.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools (CRM, email automation, analytics, social ads).
- Excellent communication, copywriting, and project management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret campaign metrics.
- Creative, resourceful, and able to handle multiple deadlines.
- Experience working with design, production, and media vendors.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of exhibition industry best practices (e.g., RX, Informa, Messe approaches).
- Familiarity with visitor acquisition funnels and exhibitor marketing value.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) is an advantage.
