A community support organization in Monks Gate is seeking a volunteer for Activity and Recovery Events. The role involves supporting service users in activities like beach cleans and health walks, and developing new opportunities to enhance community engagement. Candidates must be 18 or older and will undergo a DBS check.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
Responsabilités
- Support recovery motivators with facilitating activities.
- Develop new activities to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to make a community impact.
At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. We strive to ensure our services are warm and welcoming environments.
It’s often overwhelming for the people we support to make changes in their lives, as an Activity and Recovery Events volunteer you will play a key role in providing a safe space for our service users to get together, connect and have fun.
- Support our recovery motivators with facilitating service user activities, such as beach cleans, health walks and beach fishing.
- Respond to the needs of our service and explore what new activities could be developed to strengthen and enhance the opportunities on offer to people accessing our service.
- Work alongside the staff team and volunteers; contribute to a rewarding and exciting role for someone who wants to make a difference in their community.
