An organization dedicated to community support is looking for Recovery Support Volunteers in Barnstaple. This front-line, client-facing role focuses on supporting vulnerable women in recovery. Ideal candidates will possess an empathetic attitude and the ability to work well in a team. The volunteer position involves supporting individuals in achieving their Recovery Plan goals and facilitating group work sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Recovery Support Volunteers can be involved in various aspects of service delivery. It is a front line, client facing role and may involve a focus on one particular area, such as group work or Duty support, or, it may involve a combination of tasks and activities. We are looking for a team player with a willingness to learn.
We are seeking Female recovery support volunteers to enable us to create a safe space for vulnerable women in recovery.
This exciting volunteer role would suit someone with an empathetic, non-judgmental attitude who can build strong working relationships with others.
