A charitable organization focused on fishermen is seeking new trustees to guide governance and strategic direction. Responsibilities include overseeing operations, ensuring financial stability, and promoting diversity and equal opportunities. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess professional skills that support the mission of the charity. The council meets quarterly, with additional committee meetings and an annual away day.
The Fishermen's Mission is the only charity solely dedicated to supporting fishermen and their families (both active and retired) in the UK. Our objective is to relieve despair or deprivation by providing emergency support alongside practical, financial, spiritual and emotional care. We seek five new trustees to help advance this mission.

As a trustee, you will share the collective responsibility for governance and strategic direction of the charity. Your duties include:
The Council meets four times a year – twice in person during the day, primarily in London, and twice online.
Three sub‑committees meet annually – one three times each year, the others twice each year – usually online.
The Council also seeks to meet once annually for an in‑person 'away day' (afternoon session, overnight stay, morning session).
