Trustee to join the board of a growing charity - Swindon City of Sanctuary
By joining Swindon City of Sanctuary as a trustee, you will help make Swindon a welcoming place for new arrivals. You will educate the community about the importance of this welcome and the value that new arrivals bring. Additionally, you will collaborate with the national City of Sanctuary group to influence government legislation related to immigration.
We seek a committed individual to support new arrivals in Swindon, especially from the sanctuary-seeking community. Skills in grant applications, social media, and education to raise awareness are desirable. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The charity is supported by a dedicated staff team and volunteers, with core funding from The National Lottery Community Fund until 2026.
