Job summary

A nonprofit organization in the UK is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Officer to develop and deliver their volunteer strategy, launch a Volunteering Hub, and create an effective training framework. Ideal candidates will have experience in volunteer engagement and will possess strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include designing recruitment campaigns and ensuring volunteer satisfaction. The position offers a hybrid location with travel across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Hours:35 per week
Location:Hybrid, with regular travel across Herefordshire & Worcestershire

About the role

You’lldevelop and deliver our volunteer strategy, launch our new Volunteering Hub, create a consistent induction and training framework, and work with teams across the organisation to ensure volunteers feel valued, welcomed and equipped for their roles.You’llalso design recruitment campaigns, manage safer recruitment processes, and develop meaningful reward and recognition approaches.

About you
  • Has experience in volunteer engagement
  • Is an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Can manage changing priorities and handle challenging situations
  • Is confident using IT and analysing data
  • Understands safeguarding and volunteer-related legislation
  • Holds a full driving licence and can travel across the region
  • Experience in the charity sector, delivering training, using volunteer management systems and knowledge of older people’s needs is desirable.
