Senior Net Developer

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a key role in building modern, scalable web applications using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, C#, and SQL Server while incorporating front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. In addition to hands-on development, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and guide best practices in software architecture and development.

And as a Senior Net Developer with Concerto, you’ll do it by

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using C#, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
  • Design and optimise SQL Server databases, writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to connect with external services and front-end applications.
  • Implement modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js to create engaging user interfaces.
  • Apply best practices in software development, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and code maintainability.
  • Enhance application security by implementing authentication, authorisation, and data protection measures.
  • Optimise front-end performance for fast-loading, responsive, and mobile-friendly applications.
  • Work with DevOps tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud services (Azure or AWS).
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Debug and resolve application issues, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership, guide architecture decisions, and establish coding standards.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product owners, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and development standards.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Senior Net Developer , you’ll need

  • 5+ years of experience in C# web development using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, including query optimisation and database management.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end applications.
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework Core and LINQ for data access.
  • Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorisation using OAuth, JWT, or IdentityServer.
  • Proven experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit tests using xUnit or NUnit.
  • Exposure to Microservices architecture, Modular Monolith and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of serverless computing and cloud-based functions.
  • Knowledge of gRPC, GraphQL or WebSockets for real-time data processing.
  • Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS.

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work between your home address and Concerto Liverpool on a hybrid basis 08:30-17:00
