Bryn Mawr College seeks an Assistant Director to manage the Adult Protective Services department. This role involves direct oversight of staff, policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with regulations to assist older adults in Philadelphia. The candidate should have significant supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
Pay range:$79,230.69 – $91,719.43 varies with experience.
The mission of PCA is to improve the quality of life for older Philadelphians and those with disabilities and assist them in achieving the greatest possible levels of health, independence, and productivity.
Description of Role:Reporting to the Director of Adult Protective Services (OAPS), the Assistant Director manages and supervises the OAPS department, with responsibility for direct management of OAPS Supervisors and management and oversight of departmental operations. This position provides direct support to the Director. The OAPS department is responsible for conducting investigations in Philadelphia for older adults in need of protective services.
Required Education:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification required. Master of Arts/or Science preferred.

1. Pre-employment physical and drug screening
2. Satisfactory criminal history clearance.
3. A valid driver’s license, a good driving record and access to a fully insured car.
4. Availability via cell phone at all times during scheduled working hours.
5. Completion of Pennsylvania Department of Aging’s Older Adult Protective Services training as set forth in the Regulations.
6. Signing the Pennsylvania Department of Aging’s Confidentiality Statement.
7. Adherence to all agency and departmental policies and procedures.
