RMN Unit Manager
£26.00 per Hour
Essential: Experience and understanding of Complex Dementia Care in a nursing home setting.
16 hours of this post are supernumerary; the remaining hours are to be on the floor.
The Unit Manager assists the Care Manager with professional and administrative duties and is responsible to the Manager for care/nursing matters in the Home, ensuring the Care Manager is kept informed at all times.
In the absence of the Care Manager, the Unit Manager is the leader and a working member of the care team, with overall responsibility for nursing/care management, maintaining high standards of care, and monitoring staff performance.
Flexibility is required for working nights, weekends, and a proportion of Bank Holidays to ensure standards are maintained and adequate cover is provided.
The Unit Manager may also assist with unexpected visits and inspections of the Home when off duty.
Trainee nurses (qualified outside the EU) must hold a letter from the NMC confirming their eligibility to sit the OSCE exam.
